Colette Scharf
(Directly from Canada) Colette Scharf attained a Visual Communications diploma in 1986. She has worked at Beulah Alliance Church, AB, Canada as a Graphic Designer for 6 years and volunteered with children’s ministry. She is the Graphic Designer for Entre Niños and has experience in various media from print to web. She considers a privilege to serve the church and the community.
Colleen Oglesby
Colleen Oglesby is an independent children’s ministry trainer and consultant focused on teaching, training, encouraging and equipping children’s ministry teams. With more than 30 years of hand’s - on children’s ministry experience she has been involved in children’s ministry both as a volunteer and full time Children’s Pastors Conference workshops. She is also a contributing writer for Children’s Ministry Magazine. Colleen’s passion for children’s ministry is to help others leave an eternal impression of God’s love on the lives of kids.
Dale Von Seggen
Dale is president of One Way Street, Inc, a children’s ministry publishing company. Dale and his wife Liz have produced and published over 300 puppet ministry and children’s ministry resources. He has been children’s pastor, speaker, teacher founder of many ministries.
Jana Alayra
Jana Alayra is an internationally known artist and worship leader for children and adults. She and her Producer husband, Ron Alayra have created 5 CDs of original children’s praise and worship music, including their newest “Toma mi Mano” a collection of earlier favorites translated into Spanish. They perform all over the world.
Kendra Kunkel
She got a Bachelors of Science in Education degree from Abilene Christian University. She has always loved children and God has truly gifted her in the area of children’s education. She has directed the nursery at Oak Hills Church for 12 years and during those years helped open the preschool at the same church. She is currently directing the preschool and volunteering in the nursery.
Marla & Nelson Dervaes
Marla has a degree in Elementary Education, she was on staff for 10 years with her primary focus being Special Needs Children. Nelson has over 20 years of experience as a Product Development Engineer. Combined, they have over 27 years of experience working with children and youth. They develop systems for enhancing Children’s and Youth Ministries and created SonBlest. They work together with churches to create Ministry Management systems that help protect children and simplify administrative tasks.
Selma Rivas and Sharon Wilson
Selma and Sharon served together for 13 years as Children’s Ministers on staff at Oak Hills Church until Sharon’s retirement as Minister of Students and Children in April 2008. Selma continues to oversee Children’s Ministry at Oak Hills and Sharon is enjoying being a grandmother! Together they have been privileged to share their passion to inspire and build large teams of volunteers and create various programs within the ministry.
